Upper East Region is one of the regions in Ghana with low level of education among women. Just 2% of females are able to make it to tertiary level after high school. Majority drop out at junior and senior high school due poverty and teenage pregnancies. ASIGE continue to identify and send back to school, girls that have dropped out due to teenage pregnancy or poverty. ASIGE had sent 9 teenage mothers back to school, for which some have completed high school and awaiting to proceed to the Universities. ASIGE currently support two of those completed who are now in the University offering fashion and medicine at Bolgatanga Technical University and University for Development studies Ghana.
