Vocational skills training

Vocational skills training

ASIGE is taking a strategic approach to providing skills for young, deprived women in rural communities in the Ghana by using a stepwise method to enrolling teenage young people into vocational skills training for young people especially girls in tailoring, textile weaving, welding, tiling, hairdressing, welding, and others for them to obtain skills to become their own masters and create employment opportunities for others. ASIGE also want to be a stop gap to provide practical skills education for young women – this information is not necessarily covered by the formal educational syllabi at the basic to universities schools.

In addition, we continue to support these young people through comprehensive training in entrepreneurship, customer management, marketing, designing and product development and technology for the modern business age. ASIGE further helps these young people to establish their business after training through business incubational development. Currently, over 90 young persons are undergoing training with some already having completed, started their own business and are currently employing others in their communities. This helps empower young people in rural communities in promoting development in the world.

Volunteers just have the heart; they don’t always have the time. We are committed to investing in the next generation of young people and women and girls to create a brighter future.
