Peter Akuribire is ASIGE’s Operations Officer, responsible for managing the day to day activities at the weaving centre in Sumbrungu. He plays a vital role in coordinating production across all weaving communities, ensuring that stock levels are optimised and customer demands are met efficiently.

With deep knowledge of each artisan’s skill level, Peter assesses training needs and assigns basket designs accordingly maintaining high standards of quality and consistency across ASIGE’s product line. He also oversees inventory records and ensures that all baskets produced align with our Fair Trade principles and production goals.

Peter’s operational leadership helps ensure that ASIGE remains both efficient and responsive, while fostering a supportive and empowering environment for the women weavers.
