FOUNDER
DORCAS APOORE
ASIGE was founded by Dorcas Apoore, a social entrepreneur, a MasterCard scholar for both undergraduate at the University for Development Studies and post graduate degree at the University of Edinburgh. Although Dorcas was born into a poor rural community, her remarkable resilience to make a living and improve the life of her community gave her access to opportunities that birthed ASIGE. In her role as CEO, she provides leadership to the ASIGE team who together are creating a decent and sustainable income for many women from poor rural communities in the Upper East Region of Ghana.

SIMON ADONGO AYIMBIRE
Simon is the Finance Director of ASIGE who has a wide range of experience in running and managing the organisation. He has been with ASIGE since its inception and is entirely dedicated to the running of the basketry project and social programmes. He has been instrumental to the growth of the organisation. Simon holds a degree in Financial Accounting from the University of Education Winneba and a professional Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana.

DAVID ADUGBIRE
David is the programmes Manager at ASIGE. David has a degree in Environmental and human Resources from one of the prestigious universities in Ghana -the University for Development Studies. He has substantial experience in Environmental Science and staff management. David manages the day-to-day programs including vocational skills training, reproductive health education and other social programs that benefits the people that we are working with. As we believe in creating opportunities for the communities we work in, we have a department of social programs managed by David and the team.

GLADYS TIBMAHIME SANLERIGBA
Gladys is the Accounts officer who was the first female to have completed tertiary in her family, and a MasterCard Foundation Scholar Alumni at CAMFED Ghana. She is passionate about women’s empowerment and giving back to society, dedicated to work effectively and efficiently in the area of Education and Finances by contributing through discipline, perseverance, teamwork, time conscious and hard work to ASIGE’s growth. Gladys holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Education from the University of Winneba. She take care of all the accounts related work at ASIGE.
